Hi, what about delivery boy app? Is it available? If not any plan to develop it? Everything else is what im looking for. Only delivery boy app is missing

Hi,

I can not mark the comment as private :), made a request to Envato to delete it.

I’ve just looked at their solution, it’s impressive, I’ve always thought they have native apps, anyways, it seems they have a different solution, looks more like a SaaS. where you aggregate multiple restaurants.

The main reason they are able to track/send orders for a delivery boy app is that they force you to create an account or log in when ordering.

I’m gonna think about it, I suppose first I can start out with writing an API, supporting web-hooks also, so third party app can connect to this.

Best,

Thanks for quick reply. I have added your app to my favorites. In future when it has features that i need, i will purchase it. Good luck with sales.

Thanx, Best!

I liked it very much . Well done! What’s the difference between licences regarding features?

Thank you!

Hello,

I’ve made the changes to be able to restrict/trim products descriptions on the homepage. In order to do that, you should go to Admin > InstaFood settings > Product description length ( http://snpy.in/BRnDYu ).

From there you can restrict the max chars, now not every product description length would be exactly the same because I made it in such a way so it won’t cut within the middle of words.

The update is pending approval from Envato, meanwhile, I’ve sent you an email from where you can directly download the app.

Best,

You are amazing, thank you!

Hi! I have a problem. Rendering of a mobile web app does not work if a website home page is specified for it.

Finally solved the problem with displaying on the main page. When I turned on the default Twenty Twenty-One theme, the script started working. But I want to use it with theme Qwery :(

Hello Go-Bo,

Sorry for the late reply, as for the translation, indeed, I forgot to load the “textdomain”, I’ve fixed it and added the appropriate documentation https://sakuraplugins.com/showcase/instafood_docs/ (Locales section).

Now, the update is pending review ( most likely they will approve it on Monday ), till then, I will send you an email with the update right away.

As for the display problem, I will send you some possible causes, I believe your theme implements the “page_template” filter in the wrong way (meaning it does not implement some conditions for itself)

Best,

Thanks!

great job i would suggest to add some sort for plugins so we can extend it, like a map picker with geo detection is nice for delivery address, and more payment gateways

Hello a7medo778, Thank you, I will consider the above.

Best,

Please confirm me, can customers receive notifications via sms or whatsapp about their delivery status ?

If not so can you make compatibile with this plugin – https://codecanyon.net/item/wpnotif-wordpress-sms-whatsapp-notifications/24045791

This is a must have features because everyone want their delivery status notification and even the customer who sit on restaurant table also want the update about their order Status.

Hello manishsharmawebsite,

Not at the moment, a Twilio implementation is on the roadmap, also WP hooks to inform about an order (like old and new status). I also plan to develop webhooks and authenticated REST routes that would help third-party apps to integrate with InstaFood.

Best,

Can you please consider textlocal.in along with twilio because twilio is very costly in india.

Please think about textlocal.in also.

Hello manishsharmawebsite,

I’m sorry, I do not believe I will implement “textlocal”, the reason for that is I could not support/keep track of potential API changes for a lot of third-party apps/services. However, by implementing the internal WP hooks, it would be pretty easy for someone to create an extension and implement the “textlocal” messaging or other services (probably would take less than an hour).

Best,

Hi,

I need some information about the plugin before making the purchase, I would like to know if these features are present or if they will be implemented in future versions:

- selective activation/deactivation of dishes based on time (the restaurant has different menus at lunch and dinner)

- maximum number of dishes that can be ordered in a period of time (customer can order max 7 dishes every 10 minutes)

- Deactivation of pickup & delivery features (I would use the app only for the dine in feature)

Thanks for the informations provided

Hello Maximal84,

To answer your questions:

Q3. (Deactivation of pickup & delivery features) Is already implemented (http://snpy.in/0ClSI1, http://snpy.in/09e5mq, http://snpy.in/ZSY5Ui)

Q1. (Selective activation/deactivation of dishes). This could be done, maybe deactivation of an entire category like Breakfast or products and fade out the products that are not available, maybe with a message also. However, this feature could cause issues like:

Suppose I’m adding to cart some breakfast dishes, while I’m browsing and add some other items from another category the breakfast time has passed, still, I’m going to checkout and I can not order (probably with the message: item X, Z and Y can not be ordered anymore). In the above case, there would be two options:

1. Instruct the user to go back and remove the breakfast items from the cart and 2. Automatically remove the items from the cart. I believe both cases would result in a bad user experience. I can not promise that I will implement the “Selective activation/deactivation of dishes” based on time, I need to think about it carefully.

Q2. (maximum number of dishes/time). I can not implement this feature, this would cause even more problems than the Q1. The implementation of this feature could cause serious problems like refusing orders from other clients.

Best,

hi, is it integrate with woocommerce? or any plan on it?

Hello Ricosin,

No, it does not integrate with WooCommerce and will never be such integration, I’ve built the whole e-commerce system from scratch and it uses Stripe for payments (if payment is activated in the backend).

Actually, I’ve started with this idea of having something really easy and fast for a customer to order, without going through endless checkout forms & creating accounts from a mobile device. I know Woo is huge and can implement third-party extensions, however, as a restaurant user/customer I find the checkout a bit annoying to use when ordering food from the couch, I need everything to be fast & smooth.

Besides that, if I would have used Woo, probably would have been pretty hard id not impossible to implement reusable Groups & choices.

Best,

Hi, I felt very interesting in your plugin. I know and agree woo is very huge. But, at least integrate with woo-payment, because many plugins like POS, email customization is related it

Yes, you are right, I knew about the possible drawbacks of not using Woo, this is a different system. I believe it would probably have more payload on the staff but a better user experience for the clients.

can take a demo test of backend ?

Hello EnovatoBangladesh,

Right now, I do not have the infrastructure to deploy temporary instances for admin testing, I will create a few videos showcasing the whole admin.

Best

do you have a saas version of this?

Sorry, I meant to say multivendor not Saas.

Hello shopzonedo,

The answer is no, there it hasn’t been designed to work as a SaaS/multivendor solution, however, because of the “Restaurant administrator and Restaurant staff” user roles, which do not have access to other parts of WordPress one could “rent” out the website to a restaurant.

Best,
