When will the next update be?
Hi, New updates are coming but at the moment no ETA can be given.
after a very long time i managed to figure out why this plugin doesn’t work. It seems to be blocked by ModSecurity
However, obviously i can’t disable it on the server because it’s very important. How do i make it work?
Hi,
I’ve replied to your ticket.
hello, i read your answer but i can’t give up modsecurity for security reasons. Is there any way to solve this situation?
Hello, i use namecheap shared hosting for the system and its really slow to upload anything (max 0.8mb/s) so i am thinking about purchasing this FTP addon, will i be able to set it up with namecheap? Because their FTP upload speed are way higher than uploading without FTP using droppy on chrome, thanks.
Hi,
I’ve replied to your message.
hi, I purchased and configured the plugin (I have a WDCloud Extra as an external FTP service) but it doesn’t work. The files are not uploaded to my WDCloud, in fact the link generated to download from droppy does not work once the upload is complete. I’ve been losing my mind for 2 days, do you have any instructions specifically for the WDCloud system?
Hi,
Thanks for purchasing! I’m sorry to hear you’re having troubles getting it setup. Could you please enable debug mode using the button on the system page in your admin panel. Then try uploading a new file and see if this generates any logs in the log file (you can download this from the system page). Please send over the logs including your ftp settings file to support@proxibolt.com so I can take a look.
Thanks!
I followed your instructions and also registered on your site for assistance. Unfortunately, no response to my ticket, at this rate we will resolve it in 1 month…
I’ve replied to your ticket. A response to your ticket may sometimes take up to 2 business days.
ftp upload not working properly it takes too much time to upload ftp can you do something so that the ftp upload is fast and plugin upload method is also complicated too
Hi,
I’m sorry to hear that! Could you please create a ticket at https://support.proxibolt.com and include some more info about your setup? Also try enabling debug mode (More info here https://proxibolt.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/7689179760146-Upload-stuck-in-status-processing ).
Thanks!
I am using bunny cdn as s3 storage and digital ocean vps for site hosting but still ftp plugin not working properly when I upload 2mb and above file sze it will not upload the file in bunny cdn only below 1 mb file upload working properly. Can you do something so that the file will directly upload to server like S3 storage like other platform (we transfer) do. My site traffic keep decreasing because of this issue you can try your self name send karo.com
Currently my FTP Plugin activated and you can compare by trying to uploading file size 10mb and 2 mb but sometime both size not uploaded i don,t know why
I am facing the same issue with S3 plugin because I bought both plugin and no one s working properly
If I understand you correctly, uploading to bunny cdn does work but not with files larger than 1 MB? If so then please check your limits and make sure you’ve followed the steps at

https://proxibolt.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/7689179760146-Upload-stuck-in-status-processing
If that doesn’t help then please contact support@proxibolt.com and include your settings.json file so I can take a look. Make sure to include your droppy.log file as mentioned in the second article.
Thanks!
when will you add multiple FTP/SFTP hosts ??
Hi, Thank you for your interest in Droppy. I’m still working on it, the implementation is a little harder than expected. At the moment I can’t give you an ETA yet.
Hello
Any new update?
Hi,
Thank you for your interest! Is there any particular feature you’re interested in? Currently the FTP add-on is working and able to upload files to your FTP/SFTP server, so there’s no particular update planned at the moment. One feature that is on my list is the support for multiple FTP/SFTP hosts, but this is currently not in development yet.
Hope this answers your question!
Presale questions: For this plugin, I need to pay for external FTP service provider? Which provider would you highly recommend that would be reasonably priced and compatible with Droppy?
Hi,
Thank you for your interest in Droppy! The FTP add-on can connect to any FTP/SFTP server, for this to work you will need to have a FTP/SFTP server running or something like a NAS. If you’re really looking into a service provider you may be better of with a S3 bucket using the S3 add-on ( https://codecanyon.net/item/amazon-s3-droppy-online-file-sharing/12442659 ), most S3 providers offer pay-as-you-use plans for decent prices. A pretty cheap and decent S3 supported provider is https://wasabi.com/ but you can also look at providers such as AWS and Digitalocean.
I hope this answers your questions, please let me know if you have any more!
How many FTP server can i add? Their have a setup limit for each FTP server? If the limit reach, the new file will upload to next ftp server.
Thanks
Hi,
It’s currently only possible to connect 1 FTP/SFTP server. I will look into the possibilities of a multi server functionality in the future.
Upload works. The file is also transferred to the 2nd server. But then neither the download link nor the delete link works. share-handler error
Hi,
I’m sorry to hear the add-on isn’t working properly for you, could you please send me an email at support@proxibolt.com and include some more info about the issue?
Thanks!
Hi there – I am really interested in this script but have a pre sale question please.
I have a website with limited space. If I install this script (meaning the full script AND this FTP plugin) in a folder on my website will I be able to link it via FTP to my NAS drive?
My NAS drive does support FTP and I can connect using FileZila or similar FTP software, but I am looking for a webpage based interface so i can send to a select set of friends to upload files which I can then access on my NAS.
Second question: Does the transfer of files go via my website? Meaning would the bandwidth of my website be a limiting factor? Cause I am talking about large files – like 5 GB zip files.
Hi,
Thank you for your interest in Droppy! When you’re using the FTP add-on of Droppy you’re able to connect to your NAS using FTP and store all uploaded files on your NAS. These files will first go through your web server before they reach your NAS and are also streamed back to your webserver when someone is downloading them. Files can’t directly be streamed from and to the NAS because this would expose your NAS to the public including the FTP credentials, that’s why the files first go through your webserver before they are sent to the user.
I hope this answers your questions, please let met know if you’ve any other questions!
I read all the past comments and it’s a bit confusing how this addon works… If i set this addon all uploaded files will be stored on the external ftp server, right? What about the downloads? i assume the files will be fetched from the external ftp server too.
Hi,
The files will indeed be stored on your FTP server. When uploading, the files first go to your web server and then go to your FTP server. When someone downloads the file it will go through your web server again to prevent exposing your FTP server to the public.
I hope this answers your questions.
hi. I already have S3 add-on, so I’ve never consider FTP add-on as an option. However, my question is: is it helpful to have them both? thanks.
Hi,
At this moment it isn’t possible to use the S3 add-on and the FTP add-on at the same time so if you’re already using the S3 add-on then it won’t be very helpful to have the FTP add-on. I’m planning on making it possible to use them at the same time, but can’t give an ETA yet.
ok. one more question: let’s say I’m considering to stop using S3 service (for cost reduction) and use FTP now. If I want to do this, is there a way to migrate everything from S3 to FTP? is it possible the opposite operation, from FTP to S3, in case I regret for this change later? thanks.
Hi,
As long so you keep the file names the same then moving them between S3 and FTP should work.
hello, it would be very useful to be able to choose if use S3 and FTP (as bakup) so, we could be able to download the file from the s3 and to have the files already on our ftp on the local storage.
Thanks for your feedback! I’ll look into allowing multiple connections at the same time.
Thanks, very appreciated
Pre sale question. I want to store my backups on droppy, can I setup cpanel to push backups to droppy via ftp connection?
Hi,
Thank you for your interest in Droppy! You can upload your backup files through the frontend of Droppy ( like https://droppy.proxibolt.com/demo ) and using the FTP add-on you can store those files on any FTP/SFTP server.
I hope this answers your questions.
I added FTP information with the custom port, but this plugin didn’t load “port”.Need to be in HandlerLibrary.php Add 'port '= > $this - >_ settings->port.
: )
Hi,
Thanks for letting me know, I’ll make sure to include the fix in the next version!
Hello,
After 3 years Can i set up only one server for FTP or possible to set up multiple servers?
Hi, It’s currently only possible to configure 1 single FTP server.
Please let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with.
Hey dude i wanna ask . About this plugin and also I need the droppy file sharing script right? .. so if I use this ftp plugin .. myserver and storage server are separate meaning when somebody download the uploaded file from the storage it means the storage download speed will be use OR my main server? ..
Example mysever is 100mb/s while my storage is 1G/s so which of this will be use while downloading the file of the user ? The ftp plugin is enabled.. what I mean is when user upload files somebody will download that file but which server speed will be use? Does it matter in performance?
Or much better to use the Amazon s3? Please give me insight which one should I buy thanks .
Looking forward to your reply
Hi Jake,
Thank you for your interest in Droppy.
Yes this is only an add-on for Droppy, you’ll need to buy the main script ( https://codecanyon.net/item/droppy-online-file-sharing/10575317 ) to be able to use this add-on.
When the FTP plugin is installed and configured properly your file will go as follows: User -> Web server -> FTP server and for downloading: FTP server -> Web server -> User. It’s impossible to stream the file directly to the user from your FTP server because this would leave your FTP server open to the public. The S3 add-on will directly stream the file from your S3 bucket to the users so you may be interested in the S3 plugin if you want to improve the download speeds.
I hope this answers your questions, please let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with.

Hi,
The FTP plugin will upload all the files to the FTP storage and remove the from the web server, the plugin does not wait until your server’s storage is full and then uploads the file to the FTP storage.
